Some people say they hate change, whilst others embrace it. Hate it or love it, it is something we can't always control, no matter how hard it is we try.
To reach our next door, it is said we should close the ones behind us. I'm not sure if this is completely needed, isn't our pasts the lessons we've learnt and parts we don't want to forget. I agree moving forward is the only way to go, but perhaps leave a couple of doors ajar and don't burn the bridges.
